SolarBytez is a solar generation forecasting application developed by an independent developer ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). The App provides estimates of how much electricity a solar panel system may generate, based on third-party weather forecast data and the system configuration entered by the user.
SolarBytez does not connect to inverters, smart meters, or any physical hardware. It does not measure, record, or display actual energy generation. All output is forecast data derived from external weather services.
The App is offered in two tiers: a free version with core forecast features, and a Pro tier ("SolarBytez Pro") available as a one-time purchase, as described in Section 4.
By using the App, you confirm that:
If you are using the App on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
SolarBytez is available as a freemium application. Core solar monitoring features are available at no charge. Access to the full feature set requires a SolarBytez Premium subscription.
We reserve the right to modify which features are available in the free or premium tier at any time, with reasonable notice provided to existing subscribers where such changes significantly affect their subscription.
SolarBytez Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription on the following plans:
Subscription pricing is displayed in your local currency at the point of purchase within the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as applicable. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your App Store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You will retain access to premium features until that date.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. We are unable to process refunds directly.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

The App, including its design, code, content, graphics, and branding, is owned by the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
Any data you enter into the App (such as your solar generation readings) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your personal data.
Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:
Always consult a qualified energy professional before making significant financial or installation decisions. Do not rely solely on this App for such purposes.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any defects will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. If such laws apply to you, some of these exclusions may not apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the App exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
The App uses third-party services (weather and solar irradiance data), RevenueCat (in-app purchases), and Google Play. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of any third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk and subject to those services' own terms.
We may release updates to the App from time to time. Some updates may be required to continue using the App or certain features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
We are not liable if the App is unavailable for any reason, including due to platform outages, maintenance, or discontinuation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
For significant changes, we will endeavour to provide notice via the App or through the App Store listing.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
